Wrangler Staff Members Acknowledged for Excellence
Fred Snyder, 7th grade science teacher at Wilbur Middle School, was named Region 4 Science Teacher of the Year by the Kansas Association of Teachers of Science (KATS). He received the award during the KATS state conference on April 10, 2015.
Snyder has been teaching at Wilbur for three years. He is also the Team Leader for the 7th grade black team.
A surprise greeted Language Arts teacher Hillary Thackery at her classroom door. She welcomed the visitors in and was rewarded with a Golden Apple Award from KAKE News, Davis-Moore and Papa Johns. Thackery received $250, a Golden Apple trophy and a pizza party for her class.
"I was completely surprised," Thackery said. "I didn't expect this."
She was nominated by one of her student's parent. The parent appreciates her dedication, both inside the classroom and out.

Four Wilbur employees were honored recently with Good Apple Awards from the district. They are, left to right: April Karber, librarian; Nora Rayl, Data Leader; Jackie Tabor, PE Instructor; and Jennifer Atchison, Family Involvement Coordinator and Social Worker. According to the USD259 website, "The Good Apple Award program allows schools and administrative support centers to recognize employees, volunteers, and school partners who provide exemplary service to the district and its students.

Use the links below to download the apps and then when you launch the app for the first time, enter the appropriate URL: https://parentvue.usd259.net or https://studentvue.usd259.net. Make sure to type https in the URL. Without the "s" at the end, it won't work. If you are having issues with your app working, that is probably the problem.
